Questions to be answered for the book club

What will we read?

Where will we meet?

How often will we meet?

How big of a group do we want?

Do we want to advertise it or keep it invite only?

We have a couple of suggestions for what to read: Kabuki, Days of Future Past… there really is vast amounts of stuff that could be considered.

I think it would be cool to meet at a comic shop if we could get one to host us.

Once a month seems like too long between meetings for stuff that should be quicker to read.

I can see pros and cons between open and closed groups, we should discuss.

I think once a month in the beginning is more realistic a goal than every other week or anything else.

I agree that it would be cool to meet at a coic book shop, but I wouldn’t be opposed to just meeting at someone’s apartment really. I guess that sort of hinges on whether we invite outsiders or invite “everyone”. If we do any advertising, and have strangers, I’m guessing we probably won’t want to have it in someone’s livingroom.

I think we should just decide who should pick the first thing we’re going to read. Maybe decide the order for the next few people to decide as well. Then decide on when we should meet. Maybe that person gets to pick that too. Maybe we call that person “The Decider”, and you only get to be the decider for a month, then the next person becomes the decider. What does everyone think about this idea? I like it because that person is sort of like our super hero for a month. 😉
